I used to have a ton of details about the work and inspiration behind these costumes, but really, it’s all about pictures. So here are a bunch from previous years.

2021

Meet the family.

2020

That was a weird year. remember?

2019

Some failed- glow-in-the-dark experiment…

2018 (Montreal Comic Con)

Father and son. Technically not a Halloween costume but I couldn’t not show this.

2017

White Walker, sorta.

2016

So not showing you that one…

2015

Captain Harlock (Albator en français). Me and my son had a whole space pirate theme going on…

2014

A bird! I had blacklight LEDs in the rim of the hat and glow-in-the-dark contacts. Pretty sure I ruined my eyesight for good that night but you could see it a mile away.

2013

Dear god. Three months of mixing and gluing hair on a bodysuit. It seemed like a good idea at the time.

2012

Grendizer (Goldorak en français) Most fun I’ve had building something from scratch. (also, dancing with Marge Simpson)

2011

Mad Hatter

2010

Recycled Vader. I wasn’t into pictures that year…

2009

My wife was eight months pregnant.

2008

Matching couples costume! A bit gore… I could remove my eye and give it to people…

2007

Some kind of Voldemort-like thing, though I didn’t know who that was. I really wanted to try the white eye.

2006

Original Vader. I spent a whole year on that one.

2005

Less elaborate werewolf. That night, I thought it’d be cool to do a more advanced transformation some day. Bad idea (see 2013).

2004

Pink Predator! Also, I lost my camera that night.

2003

The classic.
